The Rowan Tree,

based on an old Scottish melody, is a great lyrical showcase for your band.  I first heard this melody when playing Pentland Hills, a concert march by Howe.  “The Rowan Tree” appears in that work as the trio melody.  Ever since hearing it, it stuck with me until I finally decided to do a setting of this gorgeous melody. *J.W.
